Congratulations to Pam Vale Branch, winner of NEW-GEN’s NYCC Cosplay Contest! Pam, who has an extensive art background and attended the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, created the winning costume depicting Sauron, the Dark Lord from Lord of the Rings, for her thirteen year-old son, Logan. As the grand prize winner, Pam will receive a two week paid internship on the set of NEW-GEN: DEADALUS RISING, working alongside the film’s costume designer and property master.
NEW-GEN will be hosting a casting call for NEW-GEN: DEADALUS RISING at the 2012 New York Comic Con! The open casting is set to take place during the Comic Con convention on stage at the NEW-GEN booth (#1628) on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 1-3PM. Interested actors and actresses will be asked to read a script in front of the producers and director. While casting is occurring with A-list actors for the main co-starring roles, Director J.D. Matonti plans to discover unknowns for the film’s two 18 year old identical twin male leads, Chris and Sean. The third lead being cast is for the 20 year old female Carmen – whose character acts as a guide to the twins in their epic battle against the evil Deadalus.
